Behind every big milestone is community. As our Room for All Capital Campaign that brought about our new Community Food Hub comes closer to completion, we’re reflecting on all of the folks who have helped bring our new facility to fruition. Among those guiding the way are our incredible co-chairs who have been part of our community for several years. Housing justice advocate, Bill Block, was a force for change. A community leader who worked behind the scenes with a clear vision: to transform systems so that everyone can live with dignity. Bill Block’s Building Block’s feeds that the legacy of compassion, innovation, and hope that Bill first sparked in Seattle. Several generous donors are collectively honoring his life and work through our $350,000 matching challenge, helping our new food hub serve the community with care, dignity, and hope.
