Grocery Shopping
Your free neighborhood grocery store.
Book an appointment to shop in our grocery store once a week on Wednesdays or Friday from 9 am - 2 pm, browsing our shelves and choosing from the items your family prefers. Our grocery store is stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, canned and dry goods, and more!
We welcome anyone who lives in the State of Washington to receive food from us. Bringing a piece of mail or ID to your first visit can be helpful but is not required. We may ask for some information about you and your family. You do not have to answer any personal questions you don’t feel comfortable answering. This will not change your opportunity to receive food.
On your first visit (and once a year after that), we will ask for some basic household information (address, family size, and ages) This information is optional, but really helps us to better serve you. We will not share your personal information unless you ask us to do so.
Find a Time to Shop
To create a better shopping experience with shorter wait times, you can schedule your shopping time. Each appointment is 15 minutes long, giving you an opportunity to browse the grocery store. We'll continue restocking our shelves throughout the day, ensuring everyone has access to a variety of options.

When you check in for your shopping appointment at our food bank, you can schedule your next shopping day.

Please do not show up more than 15 minutes early for your shopping appointment.

You can shop for up to two families at our food bank. You must have an appointment and a food bank card for each family.

During your first appointment we will check you in with your time group and let you into the building. Our check-in volunteers will add you into our shopping system, and give you a food bank card. To add you into our system they will ask for some basic household information including:
Household income level (self-declared)
Name
Household size and ages of household members
Address
The information you provide helps us to better serve your family. We will not share your personal information unless you ask us to do so.

Yes. After 10 am we typically start a waitlist and hand out numbers to folks without an appointment.

Getting to the Food Bank
Our food bank is located at 9021 Rainier Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118.
Driving to the Food Bank
If you’re driving to our food bank, please enter our property through our back gates on 50th Ave. Please note that street parking is available throughout the area.
Using Public Transit
Our food bank is easily accessible through public transportation. Just a short walk from the Rainier Beach Lightrail Station and a bus stop that leaves you right at our front door via bus lines 7, 9, 107, 106, 987.
