The Height of Holiday Giving

The snow flurries this week brought holiday spirits into full swing at RVFB! Our community is merry, and the spirit of giving is alive and well. Did you know that this season marks the height of giving at RVFB? From November through the end of the year, we see more folks applying for and signing up to volunteer, and donations come in hand over fist. We’re so grateful to see our community’s enthusiastic involvement during this busy time of year.  We’re inspired as we watch our neighbors join the fight against food insecurity in South Seattle. While our hearts are warmed by the influx of enthusiasm this season, our organization relies on your support and investment year-round, and we need your help!

Every spring, we have a shortage of volunteers, meaning more open shifts, and a lower capacity for service. We’re so grateful to all our neighbors who have joined us this holiday season. We invite you to make a long-lasting impact, by signing up to be a recurring volunteer. Even once a month makes a difference! If you can join us beyond the holiday season, consider becoming a regular volunteer, helping pack bags, hand out food, or serving as a driver for our home delivery program to help Rainier Valley stay nourished throughout the year!

As we transition to a new year, we look forward to sharing in another year of growth, and community investment with you all. Thank you for sharing your gifts and talents with us, your special spark is what makes RVFB so special.
