This month we would like to highlight Willieetta Smith!  Willie first came to RVFB 11 months ago and has been gracing us with her presence ever since.  The kindness and patience that she brings on distribution days truly help create a hospitable environment for every guest that she greets. We appreciate how Willie is always optimistic, and always willing to help where needed. Thanks Willie, for sharing your beautiful smile with all of us!

Cooking with Willie:

“This is a new recipe that I prepared yesterday. I have been into salads lately!”

Ingredients:

Many of these ingredients are found at RVFB! – 1/2 cabbage, thinly sliced and chopped

– 1 cucumber, sliced to preference

– 8-10 cherry tomatoes

– 1 pear, sliced in half-inch chunks

– 1/2 cup green onions, thinly sliced

– 1 carrot, shredded or sliced

– Dressing: Willie likes to use a white bean hummus as dressing, but you could use whatever you like!

Directions:

Chop, Mix, Serve, ENJOY!
